Tell us a bit about what your role at Carbon?
I'm a qualified chartered accountant with 30 years’ experience under my belt – from training contract, through to starting my own successful practice from scratch. Now I’m on another exciting part of my journey as part of Carbon.
I’m part of the Finance Team. We work closely and collaborate with the other teams in Carbon helping and supporting each other to reach our goals.
My job is not just about looking at numbers. I don't hide behind a desk - interaction with people is the most important part of what I do. My role is an advisory one covering a multitude of areas, including working with Michael to advise on, and support Carbon's development.
What do you love about what you do?
Lots of things. I get to work with great people, helping them to attain their goals, knowing that they have benefited from my advice. I love having conversations about business. Those that start with numbers and develop into actual tangible things – whether its people, processes or results.
How do you like to spend your time?
Getting away to Murcia in Spain. I love everything about it. The people, the climate, the culture, the food. There’s nothing quite like the slow pace of rural life – it’s so calming.
I love walking, which I do a lot of in Spain, but also being a West Walian I’m passionate about exploring the beautiful West Wales Coastline. I rate it as one of the best coastlines in the world. A great place to re-charge away from busy city life.
