What is your role at Carbon Law Partners?
As part of the Brand and Communications Team I help to manage social media, the website, and ensure that Partners have the correct artwork and digital training. We're in the age of tech dominance, so it's fascinating to be able help people who are less familiar with social media and web applications. I do a lot of design work too. I love seeing our ideas take shape and come to life.
What do you think about Carbon Law Partners?
It really is fantastic. Everyone here is lovely and incredibly focused on what they are doing, but we still manage to have a lot of laughs. It's the type of environment I've witnessed in marketing agencies – everyone gets their work done but has fun at the same time.
I love the drive and ambition of Carbon. How they are taking on the challenge of changing, for the better, the way law firms operate.
Also their willingness to invest in their team shows that they practice what they preach. I'm in the early stages of my career so new roles can be a little daunting, but Carbon were keen to highlight that they won’t just sit back and watch a person's skill set go stale. They show real interest in my potential and an eagerness to help me to reach it – that gives me confidence.
How does success look to you?
Success comes in many forms but, for me, learning from mistakes is one of the most rewarding methods of reaching a target. It isn't always about the end result, but the way in which you reach it.
If I had to single something out, it would be seeing my personal website surpass one million hits with just me providing content. That is certainly one of my biggest achievements.
What makes you happy?
I love to travel, whether locally or far afield. I was really lucky to travel lots when I was a child. My aim, as an adult, is to visit a new country every year. I have family in Tennessee, so heading out there to enjoy their world class barbecues, never fails to make me happy.
