Disputes, Insolvency, Intellectual Property, Health and Safety, Construction and Engineering.
I specialise in Commercial Litigation and Debt Recovery, guiding asset-based lenders and their clients through complex and interlinked challenges to find a positive way forward.
What I do.
As an Associate at Carbon Law Partners, I work alongside David Martin. Joining David’s team was a natural step as we share the same sense of purpose and creativity. Our clients’ economic interests are always the core focus. We work proactively to implement future-proof solutions as fast as possible.
Responding to problems.
I bring a depth of knowledge, a commercial mind and a collaborative approach to every new case. My experience in sales and commercial litigation gives me valuable insight into the potential risks and strengths of diverse businesses, from start-ups to established brands.
Clients can rely on me for a swift and accurate response. I help them to find the root cause, as well as solving the task at hand. The best answers solve or pre-empt multiple problems at once.
Disputes and trials.
It is always better to find a clever settlement without going to trial, but when a trial is necessary, I feel at home within this space. I chose to pursue law because I’ve always felt passionate about putting a point across effectively.
Success is mostly in the preparation, but you need to be able to think on your feet and adapt to curve-balls. This knowledge has stood me in good stead throughout my life. As a young footballer, playing for Newport County and Merthyr Tydfil FC, I learned that I am always at my best when working within a team to achieve a win. The same is true of law.
Outside the office.
In my spare time, I’m a comedian and body-builder. Highlights include qualifying for Britain in the Bodybuilding Competition NABBA England and performing at the Glee Club to raise money for Cancer Research and Alzheimer's Society, both causes that are close to my family’s heart.
