About Sue

Tell us a bit about what you do?

My practice is share schemes and equity incentives for employees and directors. My expertise straddles share schemes tax issues, company and employment law. My objective is always to find the best solution to enable companies to incentivise their employees.

I also advise on employee tax issues, packages for senior executives and on the sale and purchase of private and listed companies and private equity transactions, including equity incentives for investee companies and MBOs.

What companies do you work with?

From young fledgling organisations to FTSE 250 companies and anything in-between. I have worked with a lot of AIM listed organisations and have great experience of the Digital and Life Sciences sectors.

Why do your clients like working with you?

They tell me I explain things clearly. That I keep things simple. That I'm friendly, approachable and flexible. They like that I get to know their business as a whole. That I look to what they need in the future, not just the here and now.

Work-wise, what makes you tick?

Getting the right result and implementing a great share scheme - doing what it says on the tin. Incentivising employees - seeing them rewarded for the work they've done. Also the adrenaline rush I get from doing a great corporate transaction.

And on a personal note?

Family first - spending time with my two daughters, who I love to bits.  I do love a bit of me time too - gym, sewing and a bit of crocheting are my ways of relaxing.  And my idea of heaven is anywhere in France.
