How would you describe your clients?
Varied and interesting. I'm so lucky to work with lots of different clients - estate owners, entrepreneurs, family businesses, international business owners and individuals. I have a particular affinity with the elderly. In fact, so much so, that I'm involved with 'Tax Help for Older People' - a charity which offers tax advice to older people on low incomes.
What do clients like about you?
I'm told that my clients love that I'm 'down to earth' and that I'm a good listener. I'm truly interested in hearing about my clients lives, businesses and families. It's so important to sit down together and chat things through face to face. I aim to keep things simple and realistic for clients. I value my position as their trusted advisor - it's a role that I take very seriously.
I love being able to take stress away from my clients. More often than not people find tax matters stressful, and unfortunately these frequently arise during a difficult time such as the loss of a family member. I make sure that I am on hand to do as much as I can to help them through these hard times. It's such an important part of what I do.
What do you love about living in Bristol?
I love being close to old friends. I enjoy that town and the countryside are easily accessible - I've the best of both worlds on my doorstep. My biggest joy, having a great local pub and living in a house with a garden so I can enjoy one of my favourite pastimes, gardening.
